Flushed with the success of our project, we are delighted to present a related event, a symposium on ‘queer senses’ to be held in March 2013. Our final meeting before the showcase of 24th May has taken place! We ran through our exhibits and saw, collectively, that a coherent vision has emerged: one that ‘queers’ the space of the c4cc, but also gestures to other spaces we think we know – the home, the cinema, the museum, the toilet – and playfully re-imagines them…

As ideas for the project are developing, we look forward to our next meeting in February. The afternoon will offer the chance to demonstrate our exhibits to fellow project members and gain valuable feedback from them, as well as together to finalise a number of logistical matters relating to the May event, which comes ever closer….
